MS Billets. BIS-Certified. Continuous-Cast.

500 tonnes per day. IS 2830:2012 certified. Licence No. CM/L-6600074814.

What Are MS Billets?

MS (Mild Steel) billets are semi-finished, continuously cast steel blocks with a square or rectangular cross-section. They are the primary raw material used to manufacture finished steel products like TMT bars, wire rods, structural sections and pipes.

Billets are produced by pouring liquid steel from an induction or electric arc furnace through a continuous casting machine – which solidifies the steel into a long strand that is then cut to required lengths. The continuous casting process produces a refined, uniform grain structure that gives the downstream rolled product its strength and consistency.

Our Billet Production Process

Apple Industries Limited produces MS billets through the integrated induction furnace route – one of the cleanest, most controlled methods of producing semi-finished steel.

Two induction furnaces operate in parallel, charged with a calibrated mix of:

  • In-house sponge iron (DRI) - 80%-95% Fe content, 85%-92% metallisation
  • Controlled additives for chemistry balance
  • Dolomite and other reductants in controlled proportions

The liquid steel is poured through a continuous caster, producing billets with a uniform, refined grain structure – the structural foundation that gives downstream TMT bars their tensile and yield strength.

Where Our Billets Go ?

  • Apple Industries Limited MS billets are used as primary input for:

  • Captive consumption in our own rolling mill – producing TMT bars in Fe 500 / Fe 500D / Fe 550D grades

  • External re-rolling mills and TMT manufacturers – we are open to discussing supply with verified industrial buyers

Why Procurement Engineers Choose Our Billets

  • BIS-licensed (CM/L-6600074814) for IS 2830:2012 – non-negotiable for any project that demands certified inputs
  • Controlled chemistry – because we control the upstream sponge iron too
  • Zero piping, zero pinholes, zero cracks – documented in our Zero Failure Certificate
  • Continuous-cast for uniform grain structure – which translates directly into TMT bar performance
  • 500 TPD reliable production – no interruption from raw material shortages
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are Apple Industries Limited MS Billets BIS certified?

Yes. Apple Industries Limited holds an active BIS licence (CM/L-6600074814) for MS Billets under IS 2830:2012 – the Indian Standard for cast billets, blooms and slabs used for rolling. The licence is valid and verifiable through BIS.

The minimum order quantity is 25 tonnes. Standard lead time from order confirmation to dispatch is 24 hours. Transport arrangements can be coordinated based on the customer’s preference – factory ex-works pickup, or delivered to the customer’s facility.
